Glenwood Redbacks 2022 Season Registration Information

Important Information

Registrations for the 2022 Season will open on the 10th of January. This season, we will be using DRIBL as a registration portal, instead of PlayFootball. If you were involved in the association last year, this is the platform that was used for competition management (Match Sheets, Fixtures, Results, Tables).

Everyone will be required to create a registration account in order to register – this is different to the account that coaches and managers had last year.

Follow this link to set up your account: https://registration.dribl.com/sign-up/16

DRIBL have provided a document that provides step-by-step instructions for the registration process. You can access it HERE.

Rebates for Returning Players

In recognition of the Covid-19 impacted season, players who were registered in NSW to a BDSFA club in 2021 will receive rebates on their 2022 registration fees. These are outlined in the table below.

Glenwood Redbacks will also be offering a rebate of 50% of referee fees that were paid as part of the 2021 registration fee. This is outlined in the table below.

All rebates should automatically trigger and apply as part of the registration process.

*See note below re U6 and U7 fees

Reduced Fees for U5, U6 and U7

To encourage more young players to take up the game, registration fees for Under 5, Under 6 and Under 7 players have been dropped for 2022.

  • Under 5 - $100 ($0 after a valid Active Kids Voucher is applied) ^

  • Under 6 and Under 7 - $150 ($50 after a valid Active Kids Voucher is applied)

The BDSFA and FNSW rebate will still apply for returning players in the U6s and U7s from 2021.

^ Some U5 Players will not be eligible for the Active Kids Voucher as they have not yet started school

Changes to 2022 Competitions

In 2022, BDSFA will be fielding an U17 Boys and an U21 Men as opposed to the previous U20 Boys Youth Competition. U21 Men will play on a Friday night alongside the O30 Women and the O35 Men, while the U17 Boys will play on a Saturday afternoon.

The shift to an U21 Men is also reflected in the Premier League which now fields an U21, Reserve Grade and First Grade.

For those over 17 who do not wish to play on a Friday night, the All Age Men competition is played on a Sunday and is open to anyone 16 and older.

There are no changes to the Female Competition Age Groups in 2022.

Active Kids Voucher

The NSW Government provides Active Kids Voucher for school children between the ages of 5 and 18.

During your registration you will be able to input the voucher code which will be verified. Once redeemed, the $100 will be subtracted from your registration amount.

Payment

All registrations are set up to only accept online payments via card.

If you require another means of payment (direct debit, cash etc) you must email Katelyn at registrar@glenwoodredbacks.com.au so that this can be arranged for you before you try to register online. Please note, alternate payment measures will only be accepted in extenuating circumstances.

ID Photos

All registrations require an ID photo. This is a passport style photo of the shoulders and head, where the face is clearly visible. Please make sure you have an appropriate photo of all persons you will be registering ready to go.

The following ARE NOT acceptable:

  • Full body shots

  • Group shots

  • Images of parents instead of the child

  • Logos and random images

  • Black images

  • Snapchat filters

  • Side profile

Working With Children Check

All volunteers, whether they are coaches, managers or committee members, are required to have a valid Working with Children Check. All WWC numbers must be verified by Glenwood Redbacks MPIO before a registration will be processed.

Important Note

Football, or soccer, is a team sport. When you register, it is expected that you will be able to attend all games and training sessions. If you are unable to make a training session or game, it is your responsibility to notify your coach and manager with reasonable notice. Continued failure to miss games and training without a reasonable excuse will result in deregistration.

If you have any questions, please email Katelyn at registrar@glenwoodredbacks.com.au
